"how about Lucy Lui for grace?"
Inyan, let's keep the posts about Grace to the Grace thread in Characters. Also, we have decided grace will be an older woman, like Helen Mirren. But we haven't said no to the older woman being of a different race or ethinicity. Thing is, I'm fine with characters being young and hot, but let's get someone older on the show - someone with a lot of character in their face.
And I think it might be more interesting if Grace takes a long time to remember certain bits of info, to piece some of the pieces of the puzzle together. We might have her putting together just one part of that puzzle over a span of a few episodes. Could have all sorts of twists and turns.
And I'm gonna vote no on another vampire with a soul. Last season had the conflict between Spike and Angel over this point. Let's not repeat with Spike and New vampire with soul.
And no sunlight for Angel. he's a creature of the darkness - you know, if you want to put it really melodramatically.
Sorry I'm not a fan of the ideas. Keep 'em comin'.

I've got to "second" the no on having another vamp with a soul. It's bad enough that both Spike and Angel -who knew eachother would both get one.....it shouldn't be a common thing to happen.
If we went the sunlight route it would be for like the first half of the season opener, and only long enough for the blood to "get out" of Angel's system. But, honestly, not a fan of the idea.

Go back to the Gem of Amara episode and remember why the idea of Angel in daylight doesn't fit the character.
If you want to add ethnicity I still am (sort of) rooting for the idea of a former/unrealized Watcher coming to LA to look for their slayer (who had ended up in Italy with Buffy) and stays to help Angel. But no one else really went for that idea - oh well. Maybe as a stand alone episode?
