I'm not saying Angel has completely gotten past Buffy and doesn't care if she lives or dies, and would definitely be jealous if someone else was involved with her. And yeah, being together with her (after the cookies are done) would be probably a pretty nice idea for Angel, but this dialogue still doesn't quite convince me. It even turns me the other way a little bit. Even if they are in love, they are both independent. It especially shows me this here. And the opinion really varies from which point you are looking at the mythology from. You probably look at it on the Buffy side and I definitely look at it from the Angel side. On the Angel side, it really looks to me that Angel and Buffy are separate entities. Ok, you supprise me, you're more pigheaded then i thought but that's ok, I can forgive you for being wrong (just joking ) Angel went away from Buffy....why?? Because Buffy's mom made him question if Buffy and he had a life together. Buffy's mom told him they've not, even though things between Buffy and Angel were going perfect. If Buffy's mom would have kept her big mouth shut, than they would still be together That's what I think, but we'll never know now.......maybe they would have broken up.....but i don't think so. But I'm also more like a happy ending thinker. Everything must have a happy ending.

depends on your definition of 'happy'!
I think the best ending is one that still leaves stuff open. It gives some degree of resolution but leaves the door open a little, so you get enough to carry on the story off screen, in your own mind.
That's why I thought 'Not Fade Away' worked so well. Yes, it was partly a sign of the frustration felt by Reality TV killing the series, but at the same time it was a way to say 'well, this is an ending. now go dream up the rest.'

and as for the Buffy/Angel thing - it's the classic 'ex girlfriend you still kind of like' scenario.
I mean, Angel used to love Darla, then he didn't, then he fell for Buffy, then they fell out and he gradually started to fall for Cordelia. Then she kind of fell into a coma and died, which complicated things, but his relationship with Nina in the last season showed that he's trying to move on.
I think he and Buffy have moved past just going back to the way they were again. There's still that schoolboy infatuation demonstrated so well in 'The Girl In Question,' but while Angel's still got the pesky curse thing between him and happiness, he's not settling down any time soon...

Another important thing to note, is that even if Buffy's mom had kept her big mouth shut, Angel would have eventually been tapped by the Powers anyway, and let's face it, how often would the Powers' agenda have worked with Buffy's career? Then the question would become, can their relationship survive his multiple "business trips?"
I can see it now: Angel comes back after a long week of demon slaying, Buffy's waiting at the door, ready to pounce on him with questions about what (or who) he did while he was away...
Which would be interesting, but not terribly constructive...

Um, just how the hell did we get to this point anyway? I could've sworn there was a purpose to this topic...

And even if that would happen, than you're picturing this insane scene of Buffy and Angel, like it would ever happen that way....They could fight demons together in Sunnydale, Angel can help the Scooby gang, which he did for 2 years or something. You're to obsessed by your "Powers that be"

First of all, in regards to the Powers, I am merely expressing the belief that he would have been tapped regardless of where he was. The Powers tapped him for a reason, and I seriously doubt it was because he left Buffy.
Secondly, the scene I described was COMPLETELY plausible; they've been through many typical lovers' quarrels over the years, and the scenario I gave was pretty damned typical.
To have a romanticized view of their relationship is perfectly valid; however, to say that bad things could NEVER happen between them is naive and flat-out false. Many of those bad things have already happened. Or haven't you watched the shows?

But I'm also more like a happy ending thinker. Everything must have a happy ending. And this completely goes with what I said earlier: Its opinons vary from the angle of which you are looking at the relationship from. We're staring at the same subject from two different end points of the mythology. (I won't be strong in this next argument because its been a super long time since I saw the third season of Buffy) I disagree that things were going "perfect" for Buffy and Angel. In fact, their relationship was pretty destructive. I honetsly think there was two reasons Angel left, one is that when you've got a family of people all fighting for the same cause (the scoobie gang) and they all hate Angel, who wants to fight for the same cause, but can't find a place in the family, his girlfriends family, nonetheless. This is a small reason that slightly upped the emotional distress. The main reason, in my opinion, is that Angel drank from Buffy. Even if she let him, he felt guilty, and even more, his blood cravings had been reinstated, and he felt uncomfortable and unsafe around Buffy. Don't get me wrong, it is a love that will probably last forever, but I still highly disagree with the idea that Buffy and Angel belong together, even more the idea that they are the same entity. And no one's pigheaded here, we're both making decent points.

Hopefully sometime this week. This particular episode has suffered from many delays and problems, I am sorry about that. But as soon as some technical/internet stuff is worked out, it will be posted. Hopefully it won't take too long.

same as my series - pray every night, brush our teeth and be nice to old ladies I think the phrase 'ain't never gonna happen' does spring to mind, but that doesn't mean any of us should stop! Joss had to finish Angel at least a year before he wanted to, so it's up to his legions of fans to answer the call and take up the story however they see fit.

I really hope it's going to come on TV, 'cause I really love the show. It's ok to read a great script like you guys wrote here, but to see it on TV is just way better (read closely: THIS IS NOT AN INSULT TO YOU ). I didn't read the whole 2 episodes, because reading something like Angel is just not the same as seeing it (and it's also a lot of work reading it )
