Maybe there is some way to bring Wesley back to the fold from the brink of death. Possibly the powers that be could send him back to help, along with Cordelia's visions, to give him some kind of supernatural being to fight alongside with Angel, Spike, and Iiluria, helping to make them a supernatural force to be reckoned with!!

No, we really don't think so. It was discussed at lenght previously and ecided that bringing back Wes would among other things conflict with the message that the final episode gave out.
Another reason is that once Fred is returned the loss of Wesley will devastate her and help her go over to the dark side.
Anothe reason is that we can't find a factual way to bring back Wes as his death was by knife and not mystical.

Another thing is that the Powers, who have now become the villains would not send Wes back to help. They would send Tobit (who the hell is he? Please read the character bible) to help, until he becomes a villian.

(sigh) yes, jgorow, it was a painful decision to keep Wes dead, but he is definitely dead. What would be nice if he figures prominently in Fred's memories as she separates more from Illyria - right? One more chance for me to play with Wes? What do ya think?

I like that idea LizaP, that way he is still dead so we aren't messing anything up but we do get to have him back in a small role. She could be having flashbacks or she may just be seeing him everywhere, kinda like daydreaming...

the idea of bringing back wesley was just a thought. you know that in the whedon universe just about anything can happen. I do think that illuria should stay illuria, with just a bit of fred in her, she is one of those strong women that I just love to see in all of whedon's creations, just as I loved seeing "dark willow" in buffy.

i just got an idea. the powers could somehow use wesley to torment fred and illyria. that somehow it will tear them apart. wesley could some sort of ghost like darla was when she saw connor. think about it? it could be useful.

The PTB don't have any real interest in Illyria/Fred that I'm aware of, unless I'm forgetting something, which is typical for me. Wes does get one brief speaking role in ep. 2 if that makes you feel any better.

I don't know about torment, but since Wes was in love with Fred, and was the only person Illyria related to (other than wanting Spike as a pet), when Illyria and Fred start to split I think Wes should have a big part in that - and bring him back to help the Fred side.
He could be a vision of Fred's, or a ghost.
I would just love to have a little bit of Wes. Actually I'd love to have lots of Wes but I don't see that happening.

It's actually just going to be a latex mold of Alexis Denisof. He didn't want to hang around just to play a dead body.

Hmm, yeah it might be interesting to have Wes show up in Episode 6 kind of like Darla showed up in Inside Out.

Hmm, yeah it might be interesting to have Wes show up in Episode 6 kind of like Darla showed up in Inside Out. INT. ANGEL SEASON SIX FORUMS - EVENING JOSS has just posted the above post when DOYLE comes up from behind and smacks him in the back of the head. Hard. DOYLE (sternly) No.JOSS looks at DOYLE like a kicked puppy. DOYLE (sternly) Learn.JOSS bows his head in shame and leaves the FORUM. End Scene Two reasons: (1) Cameos of dead characters only cheapen their death and besides (2) We're already doing it in Episode II -- sort of. We've taken as many liberties as we should with the character, and ep. 3 should wrap up Wes's story once and for all.

Easy on the mini-scripts I thought you liked my writing... lol. j/k To be honest, I've always been worried about that scene in ep. 2 but I think it's important because of what it leads in to. At least this way if anyone thinks its cheap, I get the sole blame. ;D

Anothe reason is that we can't find a factual way to bring back Wes as his death was by knife and not mystical. I'm new here, but I have a (I think) great idea to bring Wes into the frey. No, he was, apparently, not killed by mistical means... Or was he?... Think about this. The knife that killed him sucked the very essence from him. Say it was the way that whatsitsface sustaned his own life. But Wes hit him with a fireball before he could complete the transfusion. And now Wesley's consciousness is trapped inside the knife. He could stay in the series, be useful, and hang out with the guys. Until, of course someone finds a way to release him. Then it's up to you guys whether he stays in the physical world, ghost world, or if he crosses over. P.S. Thanks for the password Drew
