Maybe there is some way to bring Wesley back to the fold from the brink of death. Possibly the powers that be could send him back to help, along with Cordelia's visions, to give him some kind of supernatural being to fight alongside with Angel, Spike, and Iiluria, helping to make them a supernatural force to be reckoned with!! Just so you know. During Cordelia's last episode of the show. She kissed Angel, and gave him the visions. If you watched the last few shows, you may or may not have missed Angel telling the gang this. But I read the transcript, so trust me, I know this. They didn't talk much about it, he just told them, and then changed the subject. 8-)

Say Illyria goes back to Wesley's place of death, not understanding grief. When she picks up the knife that killed him, she sees him in her mind, as though he were standing in front of her. Later, Wesley could be a kind of ghost, like Spike was at the beginning of season 5. Only this time, let's say he has access to powers through the knife, and can become corporeal through much concentration, but can't stay that way for long. Wesley could still be a force this way. Who knows, some day, he may even come back completely.

Now on the matter of Wesley, we decided a while ago that both Wesley and Gunn are gone, dead for good. It doesn't seem right to just bring them back on technicalities like that, and it just follows what the real writers and producers did with the characters. At the most they will return as illusions, inside another character's mind like Darla in Inside Out or Lilah in Salvage. But for the most part they are dead.

Eh it's all right. It happens to everyone once in a while. Just keep it under wraps before you kill me. Everyone else is planning my murder and it would really rain on their parade.

well joss, if it makes you feel any better i'm not planning your murder. so , back on the subject... mostly wesley will be an illusion okay i get that. it would be cool to bring wesely back but, i like the idea that he is an illusion. i think it would be if he was. besides i don't think wesley would want to be back. because when fred died he was depressed and he i think he wanted to die. anyways, i just wanted to write that.

I understand that you're not bringing Wesley back, partly because his death is important to your story, and partly because there is no believable way to resurrect him without another "back from the dead" thing that tends to cheapen character deaths. But I had a thought as to how he can make a believable appearance (other than an illusion in another character's mind) - he was a Wolfram and Hart employee, and he died. Does his contract extend beyond death like Holland Manners and Lilah? That was never mentioned when Angel and the others signed on. But this is one possible way he can make an appearance. Just tossing this out there.

Actually when we first decided to have Gunn die there was some talk of having him come back as a kind of puppet of Wolfram and Hart. In the end we just decided that it would be best to not pursue that idea.
And on top of that we are already having too much trouble finding out where W&H can fit at all in this season. But in the end I think that we basically want to say that W&H are pretty much gone and this is why the PTB are all wacked out, ext.

No Wesley will not be returning in any form further than a hallucination or haunting memory. But he will not be coming back to life or as a ghost.
