Hey that's a pretty cool idea. Maybe it could be a secondary plotline for an episode that is not exactly Angel-centric.
Okay, today I was thinking about some random stuff and an idea for an episode came to me. I'm not sure that I want to use this, but I'll post it anyway.
Okay the episode is basically about Wolfram and Hart. How they are desperate to gain back some power, to manifest themselves again on this world. But they cannot do that, all of their links have been severed, gone for good... well all except one.
The Cirlce of the Black Thorn were the pure manifestation of Wolfram and Hart's power here on Earth. They were the main channel of the Senior Partners into this world. So I'm thinking that they would probably use the one surviving member of the Circle of the Black Thorn... Angel!
So maybe Angel could be possesed by the senior partners, making him do evil things such as try to murder Tobit or Grace or blow up the demon center (or all of the above) or maybe just summon a Senior Partner into the world as was seen in Repirse.
Like I said, I'm not sure that even I like the idea. It was just something that I thought I'd put up here in case it gave anyone a good idea. It is basically an episode that deals with the consequences of Angel joining the Black Thorn circle. I'm not attached to this idea at all, so don't hold back while you're ripping it to shreads.

Well, I was thinking it could fit into the mythology of the season somehow. Like an artifact that helps them jump-start the GA that W&H had all along but never knew its full power yadda yadda yadda.

As for Joss's idea: I think something happening to angel because he joined the Circle might work, but him turning evil is maybe just a little too obvious.
Maybe a question could be: How does being a member of the Circle of the Black Thorn make one do the Senior Partners' bidding in this dimension?
How did the SP communicate to them their wishes? Maybe we could explore that in an ep. The obvious way is to have them call Angel before them, but it'd be neater if it was something more surprising.

Those are some pretty good questions. I dunno (scratches head). The thing about the episode was exploring how Angel basically linked himself to the Senior Partners, to pure evil. There's got to be some consequences for that. But meh, I really don't like the idea that much. It's interesting but hard to develop as we didn't really see how the Circle of the Black Thorn functioned. It might be best not to go ahead with this one...

Yeah, it actually might have been really good idea for the first episode. To explore something interesting like that, but um...hey! Let's push back the season three months! ;D

Well it was originally created because some members felt that Wolfram and Hart should not be complelty out of the picture.
Now I guess its purpose is to discuss any random ideas anyone might have about W&H
