Ok. Why am I bringing up Wolfram & Hart? Their office crumbled, the Black Thorns are dead, and we've already agreed that they won't be the villians of S6.
Even though they're temporarily defeated I don't think we should completely forget about them. They'll be regrouping. Holland Manners said that their firm had always existed in one form or another. I think I'd like seeing the Wolf, Ram, and Hart try to reestablish themselves as something new.
It could be a major point of conflict between Angel and Alan's character. Angel will try to stop them, but Alan's character will undermine his efforts.
There could also be some repurcusions for Lindsey's murder. I don't mean like Eve showing up and trying to kill him. I mean moral doubt about whether betraying and killing a human was the right thing to do. Did Spike know Angel planned this? What will Grace think?

What do you think happened to all their other branches on earth? Like the one in Rome we saw. Would be nice maybe in one of the early episodes for it to be mentioned if they all closed down or not.
Also if they did start to rebuild it could be in a completely new guise, not lawyers but some other influencial medium. Not sure what though, maybe they always had a back up that had been around for a while but their power had not been transferred there yet and now without the black thorn they have no means of getting the power there. Just thinking out loud...

I think the old branches stay, but we can ignore them if we want. WR&H can still start to move on to something new (government? religion?)
Wherever they go, I'd like to see the White Room show up again. That place was spiffy. I was upset it stopped showing up late in S5. The conduit gives us a lot of flexibilty because we can show it any form we want.

Let me get this straight - if the LA branch was the main branch, then the others would be much smaller versions - right? Still evil and having power, but not as much. So W&H hasn't gone away, they've just been reduced in size, for the time being.
What if they decide to re-open the LA office? Would it be the new main? Or would the main be moved to Rome (for example, we could choose anywhere) and the LA office (which has shown itself to be vulnerable to Angel & Co) was diminished?

The LA branch was the most succesful. It must have been something of a main office because the Black Thorn was based in LA. Other than that, we don't know much about what made the LA branch special.
The problem with reopening the LA office is the building fell down.

It might be interesting to see a slightly different W&H.
They have always been so powerful and on top of things, so... perfect.
But now that the powers have gained more, uh, power it could be a different place, struggling to stay afloat, not really that powerful, that kind of stuff.

It could be some crappy local office with only two or three lawyers and one incompetent intern. And Angel can walk by occassionally to laugh at them.

spike: so mate what did you do tonight
Angel: I walked by WF&H and laughed my ass off
Spike: I was think about doing just that

I love the idea of them being diminished - and Angel & Co making fun of them.
But the at some point should be involved as more than just comic relief - maybe there could be repercussions from Angel destroying it. After all, he did have a contract with them.

do u think they would also start to build a new black thorn? They kinda need one to get going again. Don't wanna make it a big thing this season as it has already been done last year but something that powerful aint going to lie down and die no matter what.

Yeah - maybe not exactly the Circle but something that generates evil actions. Maybe this is the time to think about them showing up as a religion.
Um, hope that doesn't offend any religious people out there.

Maybe more of a cult than a religion. One trying to keep themselves secret though as now ready for a fight with Angel.

The Wolf, Ram and Hart need to return. I was just checking out some dialogue and this is Holland Manners telling Angel about the "firm" in the episode "Reprise" from season 2 -
"See, for us, there is no fight. Which is why winning doesn't enter into it. We - go on - no matter what. Our firm has always been here. In one form or another. The Inquisition. The Khmer Rouge. We were there when the very first cave man clubbed his neighbor. See, we're in the hearts and minds of every single living being. And *that* - friend - is what's making things so difficult for you. See, the world doesn't work in spite of evil, Angel. It works with us. It works because of us. "
They have to come back, in some form.

It works with us. It works because of us. Manners was right, the world works because of evil. All of the chaos and the world falling apart is because evil, and primarily Wolfram and Hart are gone.

so are they going to show up? and if so in what form?
I vote for showing them but not being a major threat but not comic either. Kinda like how the first was shown in season 3 of buffy...

I dont think major law firms can just dissapear over night. Maybe WRH should reopen their LA offices and ONLY the ne CEO should know its evil, all the rest of the staff should be human and oblivious?

I like that idea, you are right. Except for the fact that they dismantled the building. But hey, it's Wolfram and Hart, they can rebuild it in 2.782 seconds.
Maybe Angel and Co. could realize that it's back and go attack it only to realize that (aside from the CEO) the company is clean.

Maybe Angel and Co. could realize that it's back and go attack it only to realize that (aside from the CEO) the company is clean. They did rebuild bloody fast in season 4 after The Beast. Anyone else notice how W&H at end of season 4 looked nothing like it did in season 5? I also like the idea of humans not knowing they work for evil. It could slowly be manifesting inside of them. Their friends and family see them acting strange and it could all be down to the fact that evil is taking control of them. Building a new army the fast way...
