I also like the idea of her stare being unusual, like u can get mesmorised in it for a second and there could be a glint, not all the time but when you catch her eye in a certain way their could be a flame or a light beind them. Or maybe just when she uses her powers they can change colour or something.
Being in the background really adds to the confusion as to who she is, but why is she there? It cant be coincidence as that is just too much...

She is in the background because she came to Earth to help Angel. And she feels drawn to him but she doesn't remember why exactly.

But how does she know the exact place to be? The exact place Angel is going to be fighting the demons?

Well, she is a former Power. And to answer your question really, I don't know. We don't really know where she's gonna pop up yet.

Cool, suppose it just goes where it goes. Part of the fun I guess.

Early on she could be actively looking for Angel, even if she doesn't know who he is yet. She could be telling describing who she's looking for to the people or demons she meets. It'll make it sound like she's hunting him.

I like that idea! Adds to the whole 'she's a scary bad guy' aspect.

I read somewhere on the forum that Cassandra was proposed for Grace's name. I think we should go Greco-Roman with all the Names this season. If I remember correctly the Oracles were dressed in Greek clothing, Togas etc. What if we make the Powers mirrors of the Ancient Greek gods; Zeus, Hara, etc. With Grace's name being Cassandra ( Has visions, knows the future) and Alan's name being Hermes (Messenger of the gods).

Might not be subtle enough. Plus sci-fi is riddled with parallels to Greek Gods and stuff. It gets overdone, in my opinion. I just think the name Cassandra is way too obvious. Hermes would be more pertinent for Tobit, I agree, but again, I'd rather avoid the whole Greek connection.

I think someone someone with the name Hermes wouldn't really fit in with the show. The name is just too unusual and I think it would stand out a bit much.
And as Drew said there are way too many Greek Myth references in genre shows.

That's one of the reasons I proposed Tobit for the Alan character.
When Grace decides that it is Angel she wants more than Spike, I think that their discussion should start with Grace in a position of real power - and Angel kind of intimidated by it - after all, she is a former PTB. The thing I see with Grace is she is powerful, intrinsically and soulfully powerful and that should always be a key to her actions. She may not remember everything but she never forgets her mission.

When Grace decides that it is Angel she wants more than Spike. . . What do you mean by this?

It means (I believe) that Grace coming into the world will havbe a chance of which of the two champions she will work more closely with and that will be Angel,

We have two champions here, two vampires with a soul who saved the world. If all Grace knows is that is what she is looking for, then she has to decide (easy decision, really) if it's Angel she wants to work with or Spike. This is one of my unspoken ideas (unspoken until now) to play with in episode 5.

That's cool. She could meet Spike I feel something wasn't quite right with what she thinks is the champion but then when Angel comes along she sees who she really needs.

So, maybe for a little bit she's thinking she should work with Spike, but after seeing them both in action decides on Angel. This could be an opportunity for some funny dialogue between Spike and Angel, after Grace has told Spike that he may be a champion but not her champion.

Or maybe not funny, Spike could be quite pissed off again as he thinks he is the champion but just like last time he gets passed over for Angel. Is bound to build up some resentment if it happens over and over again...

Good point, I hadn't thought of that.
Are we going to have Grace interact with Spike much at all then? I know we don't want Spike to be only comic relief (we have Andrew for that, ha ha) but at some point he's going to start acting heroic and I'd like to see how that sits with Grace.
