Well if you took the time to read the disclaimer with a nuclear microscope you would see that the fine print clearly states that you work in exchange of all the air that you can breathe.

Doesn't Tobit bascially convince Angel and the gang to continue the fight by the end of the first episode by continuing to work for the powers? If so, they probably would remain somewhat together as they did make a few enemies on the way to destroying the circle.
I think we are better off having a centralized location at first. The whole "Spike has no reason to stick around so he's just gonna leave but find a new reason to stay every episode" thing gets old quick. He joined the "team" in S5 and I think he should stick with it, even now.
I vote for a centralized location of the three of them. Maybe underground, but to contradict an earlier statement by myself, I would suggest they hang at the Hyperion til around ep. 4 as its familiar to Angel and there really is no reason not to go there once the battle in the alley is over. Now that I think about it, it would be nice if they stay at the Hyperion until they realize that Tobit and the PTB are after them and then they go into hiding and find a new place, likely underground.

I thought that at the end of ep. 4, they would be leaving the Hyperion, as it is a sort of symbol of Angel Investigations.
Also, I've been talking about it in other threads, but haven't brought up the Demon Shelter here yet. What do people think of this? I like it and am kind of already going ahead and incorporating it into the first ep, which I'm writing. Also, we talked about Angel starting work there in ep. 5 and continuing for the rest of the season until he discovers that Tobit and the Powers have been using it as a place to incite hatred against humans, thus precipitating a war between ensouled demons and humans.
So this is kind of very important for the season, so if anyone has real objections to it, please speak up now!

Well the Hyperion getting tossed out after Ep. 4 was never actually approved...
But I like the demon shelter a lot. To be perfectly honest, I'm pretty happy as long as the three of them stay together.

Yeah, the question is, if we keep the Hyperion after ep.4, then would its purpose just be for them to live there? It's such a big place to only serve one purpose.
And by keeping them all together, you mean, living together, right?
I was thinking Angel and Andrew could work at the Shelter. How else would Andrew have a working capacity?
Spike and Illy: I guess they could just stick around to be the muscle, helping Angel out unofficially on business. I don't know what I mean by that.
I think Spike could keep his apartment. Illy could live there, too, I guess. Angel's always really been alone, though, in terms of a living space. I think Andrew moving in with Angel would be funny. Maybe not the right way to go, but just a suggestion.

Yeah, I guess that maybe Spike and Leery could live together at his place.
My question is: If they are all living at different places, how is it that they get together for all of the eps?

Well, for ep. 1 they will sorta be homeless (and spending a night or two at the homeless demon shelter, of course). And, now that I think about, a homeless demon shelter might be the perfect place for them. Their place in this world is gone, really - that's kind of what we're saying in the first part of this season - so really they could live there for a few eps. And then ep. 4, they could open up the hyperion and try that whole Angel Inv. thing again. But that fails. Then Angel gets the job at the Shelter.
And then. . .they could: 1) return to the shelter to live there. 2) get their own place (one place for all four of them, five when Fred comes) 3) get their own places (plural) 4) stay at the hyperion
Number 1 could provide lots of interesting opportunities for them to meet other interesting demons and hear things from their perspective, the perspective of the invisible demon that's constantly getting trampled on by humans and evil creatures of the night, someone who's stuck in the middle, that's getting dumped on. And it doesn't always have to be depressing and despair with the demons. I don't think we'd want that. They'd meet some pretty interesting demons there, I'd hope.
2 or 3 would be just some normal place(s) and then they'd come to work.
Number 4 is too easy, I think. It's easy to imagine them at the Hyperion because we've always seen them there, but it's time to move past that. I think ep. 4 will basically say just that. And I don't really like to move backwards, as this seems like it would be.

I favor mostly one, it could bring out a lot of interesting opportunities as Drew himself has said. If it simply cannot be done then I prefer number two.
Number three if feel that would bring a lot of unnecesary delays getting them all together at every episode. And number four, it's been done, moving on, powering through.

Here's my revised opinion:
Ep. 1: Live at Shelter. Eps. 2-3: Move back into the Hyperion and fix it up or deal with whatever the issue with it is since they left it a year ago. Ep. 4: Reopen Angel Inv. That fails. Leave Hyperion at end of ep. Ep. 5 and on: Back to the Shelter or some other place.

I'm fine with all of that except for #1. I think that the first time they should feel insulted by the sugestion that they have anything to do with the center. Maybe they could crash at Spike's old place or something for the first episode.
I like that they move back to the Hyperion for three eps and then they return to the center like "fine you win, we'll stick around here".
Just my two cents.

Well, I was planning to have them very, very, very, very injured in the first ep. The first time we see Angel, he will have about six sharp weapons sticking through his body. At least for the first night, I don't think they will want to or be able to move. So hence the night at the Shelter.
And why would they feel insulted?

Okay, I see where you are coming from. You are right about the first night, they would be injured and such. So yeah it is okay that they would spend a night in the shelter.
I thought of them being insulted because I was thinking of an Illyria-ly point of view. (dramatic voice) They are great strong heroes who have just gone and saved the world. They have just been living in W&H for a year, they have pride and strenght. They don't think they need charity and pity from a demon center.
But yeah, when you stop and think about it it falls apart. Okay, whatever. Moving forward.
