every time i go out drinking, the day after i promise myself it'll be the last time, but in a weird kind of way the best part about a hangover is the sudden return of your appetite at about tea time..

oooh Scotland! I loved it when I was in Scotland!
Especially I loved having a "wee dram" at night before going back to the hotels.
It's a lovely country and the Scots whiskey is delicious.

Damn, and the blimming speech therapist made me get rid of mine because the kids my age couldn't understand me I just realised I haven't replied in here either. Not that most people want to know about me... Name: Claire Rooney Born: Scotland Location: South Africa (for most my life) Favourite artist: Sarah Mclachlan Favourite lesser-known band: The Pierces Favourite not-so-lesser-known band: 3eb Favourite comic: The Exiles Favourite movie: the 5th element Favourite TV shows: Farscape, Angel, Firefly Who do I loathe: Fox Favourite colour: purple Favourite phrase: blah You can descibe me as: ditzy I'm actually: depressing My writing: angsty, morbid, with the occasional rocket launcher Err I think that's it. Questions from the audience? Kidding.

i never knew you were a Scots lass, Claire! You learn something new every day But I doubt anyone could mistake me for one. Sure, I don't tan and just freckle under the African sun, but my accent is most often mistaken for American or Australian than anything else. Sadly. I dig the accent. I wish I still had it.

When I went to England, I found it easier to understand Scottish accents than English accents. That was surprising to me.

I wonder if that's why they had that one South African actor on Farscape season 3 (I forget the name, but he tried to kill Scorpy by going after John). But we could still hear it a mile off.

I think South Africans sound like they are from Durham or Lincoln. I think it's an almost Fens accent - upper class fens, that is.

Roon, I just re-read your intro and saw that you are south african. Wow so am I. Isnt that weird I really hate it when people think im australian. I thimk its really bad when americans in movies and on tv try and do an afrikaaner accent. It just sound sooooo wrong.

Weird? In this sprawling mecca of television and good taste? Hehehe. Yeah, finding another South African even vaguelly interested in virtual TV, nevermind Angel, is rare.
My favourite is The Sum of all fears. Jack Ryan listens to an actor with an odd accent and then concludes the guy is speaking South African. Define the South African language for me. As far as I know, we have 11, and not a one of them is called South African.
Then again... ek is n rooinek... what do I know?

Uh...hello, all! I just registered here about 10 minutes ago. I found the site in a Google search and read all 5 scripts in one night. Translation: Y'ALL ROCK!! Keep up the good work - I'm gnawing my teeth waiting for more episodes. And here's some info about me:
NAME: Rob a.k.a. The Demon Clown AGE: 20 (going to be a very drunk 21 on June 2nd ;D) LOCATION: Fayetteville, North Carolina HEIGHT/WEIGHT: 5'9"/260 HAIR/EYES: Black/Brown HOBBIES: Collecting and watching Buffy & Angel (I got seasons 1-5 of Buffy and 1-3 of Angel so far, but thanks to my tax return check, I shall soon have seasons 6 and 4, respectively), writing Star Wars fan fiction, writing in general, watching Star Wars, gaming (X-Box, mostly), sleeping, drinking NyQuil, reading, being a nerd
That's pretty much the basics one needs to get to know me. Also, I'm extremely eccentric, cynical, and sarcastic. ;D
