Okay, I can buy a Fred/Tobit thing. I also like the Grace/Angel thing. Nothing physical of course, but something would be there.

Im all for some sort of connection between Angel and Grace. More like something along the Grandmother/Grandson line than anything else. It will make Angel trusting her seem more real.
I have had an idea about the whole Tobit torture thing.
What if at some time Tobit was a Preist/Monk. When his fellow devotees foind out what he is, it is them who torture him un nom du christ; and that is why he has a disain for apparently good things.

Inyan I think you're on a roll here ...
The monk idea makes a lot of sense. A lot of sense as to why Tobit would start out originally as a good guy but got twisted.

I think it could work, if only because, for some reason, Alan Tudyk seems like he would be very convincing in a Monk's robe. We should definitely think about it some more.

Twisted is an understatement here. This guy's life is turning outs o damn sick that it's starting to hurt to plan him. I love the idea, keep making his life worse by the minute.

Sorry if I'm repeating stuff here guys, have been out a while and still catching up! Are we still having Tobit be approached by TPTB and he say no, then humans see he is half demon and almost kill him causing him to take TPTB's offer? If so this could fit in well with the monk idea...

I actually never thought of it that way. It would be interesting if TPTB approached him when he was a monk and he refuses their offer (an they only work with half demons or full demons). Perhaps he refused because he wishes he weren't half demon - he is trying to forget his demon heritage and just act human. He thinks humans are better.
Then, TPTB go behind his back somehow and betray him to the other monks. They burn him and torture him and kill most of his body. Tobit, of course does not know that The Powers betrayed him. They approach him again and promise to help him if he helps them. He agrees and now he's done a 180 and hates humans.
Inyan and Chis - - - - awesome ideas. Awesome. . .not unlike this smiley

yeah that's how I would picture it. He hates his demon side and wants to try and be as human as possible but then he sees the evil side to humanity and so he decides to switch sides. This also gives him a good tragic side as he isn't just pure evil. He has been hurt by man and he won't forgive them for it.

Ive always thaught of Tobit as more of an Anti-Hero than the big bad. Him trying to shun his demon half is tragic in itself but the fact that the religion he turns to for peace and acceptance really make him a tragic figure comparable to the likes of Macbeth. I feel that the reader should not hate him for too long. That at the end the hatred turns more to the PTB who have forced this creature into a position were he can only hate humanity. In essence Tobit is a microcosm of our reality. He is being forced to go in a certain way by the PTB just like the rest of humanity. He has a battle between good and evil inside of him that mirrors the eternal battle in the real world. He is the paridigm of our season.

Nothing has been spoken if Tobit would die or not, seeing as he is a "Big Bad" or a representer of a "Big Bad" He probably will and i'd like too see him have his hands cut off (possibly holding them up in suurender after the PTB's power has ended) and him scream in pain before Angel cuts his head off.
In this finnal way we remmber that Tobit was pieces put together never full never complete. His head falling we would all image a manakin head falling like we always see like in Kill Bill Vol.1 but for Tobit this would be perfect because his head was never truly connected to his body so visualising this would have a great effect.

I think he should be a pretty tragic character and thus, have a pretty tragic death.
